Can rabbit food stay fresh for 5 months?
I’m moving soon and am trying to make the best economical decisions while still taking the best care possible of all my pets.
Right now I’m paying a lot for rabbit food. It can be around 7-10 dollars for a 5 pound bag that my male mini rex goes through in two weeks.
But Tractor Supply has a 50 pound bag of purina rabbit food that is only 15 dollars and could last me for 5 months. My rabbit is an indoor rabbit so the food would also be stored in a closed rubbermaid container most likely. I know mold is extremely toxic to rabbits and this is why it scares me, but the reviews on the food was great and I just wondered if the food was stored in a closed Storage Bin and in a dry dark place like a closet if it could safely last me 5 months.
